    Emmis Digital is looking for an innovative, result-oriented Senior Technical Lead to lead the development and maintenance of the digital technology needed to run the radio division digital strategy. This role will work directly with internal stakeholders and vendors to oversee the development, API connection, and support of our high traffic station websites, back-end systems, audience engagement software, streaming and podcast software, and analytics platforms.  

     

    The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a track record of proactively taking products and integrations from concept to delivery. This role will provide the right candidate with opportunity to gain rewarding experience across multiple media delivery systems working with real time music and news content, established media personalities and influencers, and large scale events.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver results on complex digital projects serving multiple teams across the company
    • Architect and oversee the develop of features for our Content Management System, APIs, and cross-platform user experiences
    • Work directly with an established development partner to complete products, QA finalized development, and maintain high-quality code
    • Maintain and update audience analytics structure within Google Analytics and visualization software Klipfolio
    • Work directly with Ad Operations Director to create and maintain the latest advertising inventory and products.
    • Oversee support function of digital products for all radio markets
    • Participate in project, planning, scoping and timeline estimation
    • Follow agile/continuous integration development best practices

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • 2-4 Years of experience writing high traffic websites/applications
    • Experience with Drupal open-source CMS software a plus
    • Understand of Relational Databases (MySQL/Postgres preferred) and experience with ORMs
    • Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue or Angular 
    • Knowledge of Git or other VCS 
    • Understanding of RESTful API patterns
    • BA/BS in Computer Science related field
    • Fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
    • JavaScript frameworks like Ember, AngularJS, React, etc., or JS-based build tools like Grunt, Gulp, and Bower
    • Libraries like jQuery or Backbone.js
    • Front-end (CSS) frameworks like Foundation or BootstrapAJAX
    • Understanding of server-side technologies like Node, Java, or Ruby.
