    The Ad Operations Director will oversee the ad operations efforts for all Emmis Media Properties, ensuring that all ad serving platforms and audience management platforms are utilized to their fullest potential. The Ad Operations Director will oversee clients with ad monetization revenue and be responsible for providing guidance on way on ways to eliminate threats/grow accounts and provide mentorship and development of the ad operations team.


    • Supply Side Ad Operations
    • Manage a team of media managers who are specialized in ad operations
    • Develop key reports and KPI’s to measure growth and platform health with the Emmis Finance teams
    • Generate and enforce processes for digital operations that create operational efficiencies and create a positive customer experience
    • Provide strategic guidance on SSP programmatic strategies, optimization tactics, and additional ways to grow revenue
    • Build trusting, collaborative relationships with internal markets, clients, and vendors at appropriate levels
    • Foster relationships across functional areas within a client to build a rapport and deliver intricate solutions
    • Deliver effective presentations to internal teams and clients in regards to digital ad serving
    • Collaborate internally to define a long-term vision for digital ad products and step-by-step implementation roadmap for annual planning
    • Lead the process of strategic ad operations and serve as a resource for market managers for advice and counsel
    • Manage expectations of clients and deliverables

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • 6+ years’ experience in ad operations experience on supply side
    • 3+ years’ of demonstrated success in developing and leading supply side operations for a company
    • College degree media, marketing, or business-related field
    • Strong understanding of DFP (front and back end) including publisher implementation
    • Experience managing Operative multichannel advertising solution
    • DCM or Third-Party ad server working knowledge
    • IAS or brand safety monitoring partner experience a plus
    • DMP experience/strategy
    • Client service experience
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and PowerPoint skills
    • Demonstrated strong problem solving and project management skills
    • Proactive approach to internal team and client needs
    • Team player – dependable, respectful, and communicative
    • Fun and positive attitude • Strong work ethic
    • Able to work independently and balance multiple tasks
