  • Job Overview

    The General Sales Manager, National Sales/Agency Partnerships position will help build and maintain our high performance sales culture to effectively achieve our business objectives.

    This position reports to the Director of Sales, and may be required to travel to KATZ offices around the country.

    Responsibilities

         Responsibilities Include:

    • Execute the cluster strategies as developed by the DOS
    • Manage local agency team
    • Owns for KATZ national revenue and local agency team revenues
    • Maintain and update KATZ website for Emmis NY including political/Issue rate cards and KATZ Expressway
    • Coordinate efforts on all national promotions for Emmis NY
    • Maintain and grow agency revenues through business develop activities that allows Emmis to outperform share of market revenue
    • Generate revenues from local agency/national clients for all Emmis tentpole events

    • Exercise strong communication skills,
    • Be Highly organized, analytical and ethical
    • Grow share of market revenue growth, increase cluster/station participation
    • Manage national sales paid promotions

    • Superior problem solving ability
    • Dynamic presentation ability and stellar communication skills
    • Strong negotiation and relationship development skills
    • Demonstrated customer relationship management, organization and time management skills
    • History of gaining access to high-level decision makers
    • High aptitude for comprehending client business models and proactively designing solutions to address the corresponding opportunities
