    JOB TITLE: Digital Coordinator          LOCATION: New York, NY

     Emmis Communications – New York has an opening for the following position: Digital Coordinator.

    The Digital Coordinator will work for Emmis digital New York properties to help improve and support websites and other digital content platforms. This role will be the eyes and ears of the department and primarily interface between internal digital design, social and video teams and as well as Emmis New York marketing, programming and sale’s departments. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the VP of digital and Digital Integrated Content Manager and working directly with local market personnel to project, manage and communicate needs effectively. A positive attitude reflecting a can-do perspective is imperative to this role. Strong communication skills is essential. Candidate must be internal and customer service-focused and be comfortable maintaining a professional air and positive communication style. Willingness to learn, evolve, and retain flexibility is key. Job emphasis is placed on the ability to proactively evaluate and determine issues with the workflow, project management needs and communication.

    Responsibilities

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Assign, update and project manage daily requests by working collaboratively across key departments including Sales, Marketing, Programming, and Digital.
    • Work closely with VP of digital and Digital Content Integration Manager to execute assigned projects between departments and internal digital department teams.
    • Plan, coordinate and execute campaigns and events across multiple channels: direct mail, email, and social, digital and through O&O sites, apps and video streaming platforms.
    • Identify areas for workflow improvement to support digital projects and requests.
    • Attend both internal and external meetings and provide team with updates.
    • Assist department managers in various routine department tasks.
    • Work with sales account planners to facilitate digital department requests related to client campaigns (design, video, and/or social)

    Desired Skills & Experience

    Required Skills:

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Working knowledge of various platforms such as BaseCamp, Teamwork, Google Docs, Microsoft products and Concur.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
    • Possess exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills •
    • Possess strong technical writing abilities
    • Be able to prioritize multiple tasks and projects and deliver under deadline • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Work closely with sales managers, planners and account executives on implementing digital content and execution of rollout programs
    • Act as a liaison between all key departments

     

    Experience & Education:

            • College degree or equivalent experience

    • At least 2+ years in a support or coordinator role within the digital media and/or creative agency

    Pluses:

    • Familiarity with DFP, Adobe Analytics, Social Flow, SEO strategy
    • Experience with digital audio and video distribution a huge plus
