Emmis Austin Radio is a branch of Emmis Communications with a cluster of seven radio stations in Austin, TX. KLBJ-AM (590), KLBJ-FM (93.7), KGSR (93.3), KROX (101.5), KBPA (103.5), KLZT (107.1), and Latino 102.7.

Emmis Austin Radio is seeking a full time Sales Promotion Coordinator to support the Emmis sales team, in managing the sales promotional execution for select on-air and station events. Events could range from small events to large-scale events like Blues on the Green, ACL Fest, SXSW, and more.

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a very fast paced environment where quick turn-around on projects is vital. A quick thinker, initiative, extremely organized and detail oriented, a great communicator, and an affable demeanor are key characteristics of the role.

• Fully manage the promotional requirements for select national and local accounts within Emmis Austin Radio.
• Creative brainstorming/interaction with promotions, programming, marketing and sales departments for seven radio station cluster.
• On-site event and on-air promotions management including planning, execution and re-cap, with keen attention to deadlines.
• Project management skill set, including problem solving in fast paced environment and quick decision making at on-site events.
• Attend promotions meetings.
• Complete promotion request forms and other required paperwork.
• Communicate with national rep firm contacts/promotional agencies prior to, during and after events and on-air promotions.
• Attend promotional events as liaison between the sales department, Emmis promotions & programming teams and clients.
• Communicate special client needs to promotions and programming departments.
• Ability to track lifetime of promotions from creative brainstorming, execution and recap.
• Provide promotional recaps in a timely manner.
• Gather and distribute detailed promotional information to the Sales personnel, Marketing Directors and Promotions Manager.
• Other job-related duties as required.

• Bachelor or Associates degree preferred; High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Previous event planning, execution and/or project management experience required.
• One year of clerical and/or administrative experience preferred.
• One year of promotions and/or marketing experience preferred.
• Valid driver license, clear driving record, and state mandated auto insurance required.
