Emmis Austin Radio consists of 7 stations: KLBJ-AM (590), KLBJ-FM (93.7), KGSR (93.3), KROX (101.5). KBPA (103.5), KLZT(107.1) and Latino 102.7.


Emmis Austin Radio is seeking a full time Business Office Assistant to perform administrative tasks for the Business Office and serve as an HR back-up under the supervision of the Market Controller. The ideal candidate will be extremely detail orientated, dependable, focused, and a quick-learner.


Business Office

  • Prepare management reports: internal pacing, daily pacing, and daily spot time.
  • Prepare monthly talent.
  • Process trade reconciliation.
  • Process monthly talent fees.
  • Trade reconciliation.
  • Process expense reports.
  • Aging reports.
  • Pulling/revising sales orders.
  • Provide receptionist relief to cover receptionist breaks.
  • Handle various administrative duties: postage, order business cards, FedEx, order supplies, building maintenance, and maintain coffee services.
  • Manage vendor contract files.
  • Assist sales staff pulling invoices, orders and reports as needed basis.
  • Other duties assigned as-needed.


HR Back-Up

  • Assist with EEO reporting.
  • Assist with intern program.
  • Assist with staffing and recruiting when HR Manager is out.
  • Other duties assigned as-needed.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong AP skills.
  • A minimum of two years bookkeeping or accounting clerk experience is required.
  • A minimum of one year administrative or clerical experience is required.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint with a willingness to learn new software.
  • Loads of initiative, extremely responsible and trustworthy with confidential/sensitive information.
  • Highly organized, meets deadlines, able to multi-task, and performs well under pressure.
  • Strong oral, written and people skills required.
  • Radio experience preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and state mandated automobile insurance required.
  • Ability to travel locally (i.e. job fairs).
