Job Overview

NextRadio is changing the landscape of broadcast radio, launching new media products and services to our clients. We are seeking an experienced Data Product Manager to utilize quantitative and qualitative data in order to design and optimize data monetization features related to our NextRadio Smartphone and tablet music application. This role will be expected to drive the product monetization strategy and to be our business expert on existing and emerging music application models and mechanics. The ideal candidate is able to both drive business results and create engaging experiences tailored to data partners and customers. .

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for our NextRadio analytics platform and components from strategy to execution, and guiding multidisciplinary teams to build high quality products and features on time. The Data Product Manager will create invaluable insights into NextRadio’s unique datasets and FM enabled smartphone application’s content and audiences; (http://www.nextradioapp.com). NextRadio is available on 10’s of millions of FM enabled smartphones and growing rapidly, actively ranking as a top 10 Google Playstore Music app.

 

Responsibilities

  • Concept and design innovative product features aimed at improving customer acquisition, retention and monetization
  • Provide regular reports identifying audience, platform, campaign and content insights for all NextRadio products.
  • Identify long term and short term needs for continuing to develop actionable audience insights
  • Use vendor tools to attain a clear understanding of brand presence on major social networks
  • Analyze email, SMS, and other CRM campaign metrics to provide regular performance updates and optimization recommendations
  • Create deep and actionable insights into our audiences, content performance and competitive landscape in social media and CRM
  • Understand concepts and measurement methods of lifecycle marketing, graduation, and behavioral segmentation
  • Produce insights possessing a strong degree of confidence by applying a quantitative approach
  • Create models and methods using raw platform data to answer emerging business questions
  • Measure the success of product features after release and optimize their performance through rapid, data driven iteration
  • Perform research projects and targeted studies as needed

Desired Skills & Experience

Successful candidates will possess the following skills/abilities:

  • Experience in product management and analytics functions for mobile consumer facing products
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with data driven product design and decision making
  • Past experience with structured, hypothesis driven product improvements, rigorous metrics analysis, consumer insights and design experimentation to align product features with listener motivations.
  • Experience with multivariate testing in web and mobile products
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience with enterprise reporting products (Tableau, etc)
  • Great technical decision making – know a bad technical path when reviewed and know when to push back when appropriate. Strive to fill the gaps between business and engineering and not afraid to suggest reasonable workarounds when necessary
  • Strong background in analytical visualizations
  • Keen problem solver with strong motivation to impact positive results
  • Solid strategic planning and execution skills
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills, with experience preparing and presenting decks to various stakeholders.
  • Passion for technology and innovation
  • Solid leadership skills with an ability to build and foster relationships across teams and functions

 

Education/Experience:

  • BA in business, computer science, engineering or related fields is desired but not required
  • 3-5 years working experience
  • In-depth knowledge on radio industry trends in data and information management best practices a plus.
